Before a group of supporters, Michael announced the official formation of his Campaign Committee as he seeks to become State Representative for Indiana’s 84th District in whatwill be the first challenged GOP primary in the district since 2006. His message: the constituents of the 84th deserve a legislator that will dig deeper into issues to better represent the people of his district.

Michael announced that former Allen County Councilman, Cal Miller, will serve as Campaign Chairman. No stranger to challenged primaries, Miller joined County Council in 2002 after defeating Republican incumbent, Bill Schnizer. Along with newcomers Paula Hughes and Darren Vogt, the trio quickly developed reputations as strong fiscal minds – helping build the County’s rainy day fund.

The committee boasts strong background in economic development and community involvement. Treasurer, Alan Tio, serves as President of the Indiana Economic Development Association, while Mac Parker has been heavily involved in the Fort Wayne Chamber and Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership. A past President of the Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana, Michael has tapped three other past Presidents (Mike Kanning, Andrew Thomas and Lisa Updike) as well as its current President, Sam Graves, to join his team.
