Michael is an attorney with Burt, Blee, Dixon, Sutton & Bloom, LLP where he practices in the areas of Civil & Commercial Law and Litigation. He is a graduate of The University of Notre Dame and earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He has been recognized as a Rising Star by the Indiana Super Lawyers publication and received the Up and Coming Lawyer, Leadership in Law award by the Indiana Lawyer.

Michael is the consummate champion for the community and has dedicated countless hours of volunteer service through various non-profit organizations and public boards. He is a passionate advocate for helping attract and retain college graduates to the community. A past President of the Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana, Michael is devoted to making Northeast Indiana a better place to live, work and play for the next generation of workers.

Michael is a zealot for local business and community development. He was the youngest Director elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the Legislative Policy Committee for the Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana, the Economic Development Committee for the Building Contractors Association, and has been active with the Regional Opportunities Council and the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, where he has helped lead efforts to streamline the permitting process in the region and champion Regional Leadership efforts.

Michael is no stranger to working with government officials. He is currently serving with Allen County and City of Fort Wayne officials on the Joint Permitting Oversight Committee, helping to streamline permitting efforts in order to facilitate private development. Michael has spoken before City Council on many occasions and has worked with local elected officials on varying community matters. He was elected to serve as a Republican Precinct Committeeman and has been active in the Allen County GOP.

In the community, Michael is proud to serve on the Board of Directors for St. Joseph Community Hospital, Olive B. Cole Foundation, the Notre Dame Club of Ft. Wayne and the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne. He has volunteered for numerous organizations including the Foellinger Foundation, Science Central, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Fort Wayne Area PTA and United Way’s Real Men Read. He is a Founding Governor of the St. Thomas More Society of Fort Wayne and serves on its Executive Committee.Freimann Square

Michael grew up in Kendallville and resides in Fort Wayne with his wife, Lisa, his daughter, Christina and son, Jonah.  They are active members of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, and support their children in endless school, church and extracurricular activities.
